Mid 1990's - another interesting time
The mid-1990's are transformational in Norway as the older locomotives are still running but its replacements (El18, Di6, Di8) are about to be delivered. That this didn't work out as planned is a different story. For me this is an interesting time as I visited Norway (and Dombås) twice in the time frame of this particular timetable (R95.2/R96.1)
Direct coaches from Oslo to Åndalsnes were common during this time and the gave some interesting switching moves.
The above series (from April 29, 1996) show the arrival of train 352 (from Åndalsnes), pulled by the Di3.628 at 12:10. A little while later the El16.2216 pulls in with train 402. In the meantime the Di3.628 has left with the bagage car, the two remaining passenger cars from the 352 (an AB & B) are picked up by the El16 and put in front of the existing train 402. While the brake test is done for train 402, train 41 (from Oslo) with type 7 express coach cars is pulling. A few min later both train 41 and 402 depart. A lot of activity in between 12:10 and 12:32.
