Change to 1984/1985
When I started running trains and thought about realistic operations I was focussed on the mid-1990's, mainly because I visited Dombås many times during the 1990's. This resulted in the details that are described at operations 1997.
A few years go NMJ started to make very nicely detailed Di3 locomotives in the classic brown colors. This made me think about another era and after some thought I settled on 1984-1985. This was an interesting time, where locomotives could be seen in three colors. I decided to look for details of the timetables around 1984 and was able to get the graphic timetables from the NSB (Ruteordning 133, 3 juni 1984). Like I did for the 1997 timetable I used the data to create a timetable that is little more simplified but keeps the main spirit of the original timetable.
What makes 1984-1985 very interesting it was a transition time. The two pictures below show that.
The picture to the left is from 1985, it shows the first Di3 in the new red color (Di3.615) and the express train run by an El17 from the first series.
Dombås layout time table (June 1984)
The table below shows the timetable as of June 1984. Not all trains are listed, but it shows the majority of the trains. This list is now used for running trains at my layout.
