The Fleischman T3 has smaller motor in the cab. It has some space on either side of the motor for a smaller DCC decoder.

For this install, an ESU Lokpilot 5 DCC Micro has been used. It is placed next to the motor and is directly wired in. The front light bulb has been replaced by an SMD LED. The resistor for this LED is visible next to the decoder. A small tight fit.

This particular T3 has a tender. There is no electrical connection with the tender nor is there any light in the tender. This photo shows the 89 6225 for its test drive on the layout.
